Ceanothus Blooming

Just a quick one.

Last year I gave my Ceanothus concha quite the pruning. Harder than I really intended, and to say that I was worried that I had over done it was minimal to say the least!

But worry ye not!

I noticed the bush was absolutely THICK with big fat buds just waiting to pop open when I was working in the garden yesterday. And I don’t mean just at the top, there are buds forming right down on the lower branches too!

I think this year is going to be a bumper year for it. It also goes to show that sometimes that hard prune is just what some plants need to get some real invigoration going. I’m sure the bees will love it!
